First Presbyterian Church Of Naples Selects IFHA

The First Presbyterian Church of Naples recently gave a generous donation to the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance. And this was not a difficult decision for Session members of the Church, according to Associate Pastor Rex Childs.  “The fact that this is hurricane-resistant housing is not emphasized enough. Not only is IFHA supplying housing to move families out of deplorable housing and into stable, affordable rental units, but the buildings are storm rated to 150 MPH.”

Reverend Childs is aware that the project was born out of the destruction of Hurricane Irma in 2018. “We’ve already had another pretty significant storm, and you know it is not if but when we have another hurricane hit Southwest Florida.”

The parishioners of First Presbyterian continue to support the IFHA and our mission in a variety of ways through charitable giving, volunteering, and serving on our board.
