Donor Spotlight: Presbyterian Women USA

Presbyterian Women USA (PW) recently gifted IFHA a $50,000 grant. This generous donation will cover the cost of flooring in our first building. The PW organization is an inclusive and caring community of women committed to working toward God’s promise of wholeness for all people.  

Member Sandra Wharton, the Moderator for Peace River Presbytery, wrote a letter of recommendation for IFHA to the Creative Ministries Offering Committee, which selects grant recipients. The PW was already familiar with the Immokalee area and Misión Peniel. 

Cheri Harper, PW Mission Associate, stated, “The committee gets the most impact when we can work with projects that can get to the root problems. When people have safe housing, their entire lives are improved. Loving our neighbor is fundamental to who we are as Presbyterians and PW. We are excited to be able to be part of this project where we can love thy neighbor. We think that IFHA is a very worthy one and excited about where it’s going in the future to physically provide safe and clean housing.”
